Marley has developed two solutions for the traditional housing market in Southern Africa - Ekonoroof Timber and Ekonoroof Steel.

Ekonoroof Timber is a custom designed solution incorporating the CMA ROOFING SYSTEM™ certified by Agrément South Africa and accepted by the NHBRC.

Ekonoroof Steel is also a custom designed solution incorporating the MiTek ULTRA-SPAN® roofing systems.

The Marley Ekonoroof, both Steel and Timber, is answering goverment's demands for quality low-cost housing solutions.

Ekonoroof Timber

  • Maximum span: 6 600mm

The Ekonoroof Timber package consists of prefabricated SA pine nail plate timber trusses with tiling battens to be fixed to the trusses and covered with Marley SABS concrete roof tiles in a choice of cost-effective finishes and colours. All timber sundries and roof tile accessories are included in the package.

Ekonoroof Steel

  • Truss span: limitless design flexibility
  • Minimum economical quantity: 100 housing units

The Ekonoroof Steel package consists of prefabricated or site assembled trusses with tiling battens to be fixed to the trusses and covered with Marley SABS concrete roof tiles in a choice of cost-effective finishes and colours. All steel sundries and roof tile accessories are included in the package.
